HUMAN PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION.

Sports Medicine

I reached out to SCU Health, and they did an assessment and it appeared that I needed to improve my overall strength and care. After 22 sessions, I learned a series of exercises I should perform on a regular basis. Today, I walk up stairs, go on long distant walks, go on hiking trails and overall living a more balanced life. Thank you, Dr. Schreindorfer!

  • MEDX

    MEDX

Our Sports Medicine Program uses Medx, a specialized medical strengthening equipment for effectively testing and increasing strength, endurance, and range of motion of the neck and lower back.

  • SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION

    SOFT TISSUE MOBILIZATION

Soft tissue injuries, such as strains and sprains, are common in athletes. Soft Tissue Mobilization therapy is a manual therapy that uses stretching and manual pressure to break up rigid muscle tissue, reduce scar tissue, improve the length of tight muscles, and move fluids trapped in the tissues, thus reducing pain and inflammation.

  • ACUPUNCTURE

    ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture involves the stimulation of specific points along the skin with fine needles to promote and enhance the flow of energy (qi) and blood thus helping with pain management.

  • REHABILITATION

    REHABILITATION

Rehabilitation is a comprehensive process that applies to recovering from many types of injuries and illnesses. In the case of musculoskeletal pain, rehabilitation (or “rehab”) refers to treatment that helps regain physical strength after an accident or injury. The rehab process may also include learning new ways of moving or performing tasks to compensate for the residual effects of an injury.

TRUSTED BY THE BEST OF THE BEST.

“I went into SCU Health’s Sports Medicine Clinic, and it was there that I met student provider, Be Diep. She gave me the great news that although I had torn my medial meniscus, there was no other structural damage to my knee. Since then, she has guided my rehab and strengthening treatment program and with her help I’ve seen a huge improvement. I’ve also learned a ton from watching her approach to sports medicine and I’m super grateful for her help and knowledge in getting me back to 100%. I don’t take my time on the field for granted but I will value it even more now going forward.” – Matthew Dominguez
